The best advice is to purchase one of our economically priced fans, install it yourself, and experience the airflow. Installation is a breeze, and can be achieved in under an hour with our Safe Strap system. Once you have an idea of what works best for your facility let us know if you'd like to purchase another.

On average, one fan can be assembled and installed (hung in place with the electrical run to it) in less than 1 hour. AirMobile and AirFocus are designed to be DIY installations.

AirFocus was made to be a DIY installation and are installed by following our quick-reference guide. The Safe Strap mounting system is amazingly easy and completely flexible. The four straps attach to an eyebolt on the fan frame. The other end of the strap is attached to the ceiling structure with an eyebolt or by simply wrapping the strap around a beam or joist. Consider this. AirFocus weighs only 134 lbs. Each Safe Strap holds over 4000 pounds, so a very safe installation.

AirMobile and AirFocus both move tremendous amounts of air. Our Six Airfoil Design creates a wider, conical airflow. Our optional three-airfoil design is used to drive air in a focused column and a distance over 100'. Our advice - purchase one - install it - then based upon first-hand experience decide if one unit was enough or if your space could use another.

AirMobile and AirFocus fans run on 120 Volt, 60 Hz, single phase, but they can be wired for 220 Volt if needed. Each fan includes a 15' power cord with a 3-prong plug. You can use a high-quality 14- or 16-gauge extension cord to increase the distance from plug to fan. The Variable Speed Fans cannot be plugged into a GFCI Outlet as these two items don't work well together.

Only the Single Speed Version of AirFocus can be hard-wired per electrical code. Single-speed industrial fans must be wired into a switched circuit and cannot be controlled by a variable speed controller.

One of the airfoil packages from AMS is a Six Airfoil, curved foil design. This airfoil provides a wider air coverage, up to 10x the diameter of the fan. Absolutely. The AirMobile Fan has Industrial Casters that roll easily. The AirFocus utilizes the adjustable Safe-Strap system that can be removed and re-installed quickly and easily on a DIY basis.

While both types of fans are directional fans, the differences stop there. The noise levels of an AMS Fan are a fraction of the noise level of barrel fans. Our Large Fans operate at under 44 dB. Quieter fans provide a more pleasing work environment and don't leave people reaching for earplugs. Air Performance from AMS is also industry-leading, featuring a wider, longer throw of comfort than traditional units. Hang one up in your space and be amazed by its performance.

Lead Times are generally 10 business days from the time of order.

The AMS fans unit has a 5-year factory warranty against defects in material or workmanship on the unit. The Motor and VFD have a 1-year manufacturer's warranty for defects in materials or workmanship.

Belt-drive fans are quiet, reliable, and provide high performance for industrial-strength fans. The Kevlar belt absorbs the vibration created by a motor, improving the longevity of the belt and fan unit.

This is an excellent question, as there are many different fans available at many different price ranges. The Air Movement Solution Fans are structurally more robust than other products on the market. Assuming you provide regular inspection and maintenance to your fan, its useful life will exceed 12 years of use for sure.
